Jehovah's Creations in Chiapas: Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls, Palenque Pyramids

Jeannie with our tour guide in Palenque, speaks 2 Indigenous languages and italian, learning english, french and japanese. Very informative. You can also tell who took the pic. by appreciatting Richard's finger hahaha!

The Mayans worshipped the Wind, they symbolized it as a "T" and included in their Arquitectural designs. (The picture came upside down, oooophs sorry about that)

Huge vegetation by Misol-Ha waterfalls

Tomb of Main wife of King Pakal. She was found with about 32 pounds (16 kgs) of jewelry

Seated on an ancient stone bed over 1000 years old, amazing haaa!!

What's this? A Mayan Toilet (supposedly)

Palenque Pyramid (Tomb of King Pakal, took 68 years to build it, one step per year for the 68 years he ruled Palenque)

Agua Azul waterfall, the most famous and beautiful waterfall in Mexico, 760 kms (about 500 miles) of river that makes these amazing many waterfalls, you can walk forever and continue to see beauty. We only had 1.15 min. to watch them, worth it to visit them.

Tomb of King Pakal, this is only 1 of about 1,400 pyramids in this site, only 5% has been discovered, the rest lays hidden in the jungle, it's sooooo awesome!!! You can also hear the hauling monkeys, Art saw them too, they are black and big and make noise like a huge dog.

Awesome jungle vegetation.

More beautiful vegetation.

  1. Hello, younsters. It must be nice to have Jeanie and Richard there to visit. I have just found your blog, in fact it is the first time Ive ever read a blog, being the "techie" that I am not. However, when diane and I were traveling in the International construction work I used to write emails home discribing the awesome experiences we were enjoying. AND, like you, I was a little discouraged by the lack of return mail. But as you realize, there is a lot of distraction here in the U.S., and many will feel they have nothing to write that will compare with what you are experiencing.
Along the way I gained the mental attitude that I was writing for my own benefit, so I would have a written and pictorial record of our experiences. And, sure enough, from time to time I go back and review the old emails and remember the privilege we once enjoyed.
I'll be sure to keep in touch for the short time left.
    Jim
